Licensing terms for using Lucidity.js in your projects.

Lucidity.js Licence

Lucidity.js is a commercial product that provides a flexible licence for your projects.

Simple Version

When you purchase a Lucidity.js licence, you can:

✅ Use Lucidity.js for commercial and non-commercial projects
✅ Modify the code to fit your needs
✅ Use it in as many projects as you like
✅ As a freelancer or agency, create client projects using Lucidity.js (licence must be purchased per client)

You cannot:

❌ Re-sell Lucidity.js even with significant modification
❌ Use the code to create a competing product or service, or another template
❌ Share your licence with others

Full Licence Terms

Grant of Licence

Upon purchase, Hex Digital grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Lucidity.js software ("the Software") subject to the following terms:

Permitted Uses

You are permitted to:

  1. Commercial and Non-Commercial Use: Use the Software for any lawful commercial or non-commercial purpose
  2. Modification: Modify, adapt, and customise the Software to meet your specific requirements
  3. Multiple Projects: Use the Software in unlimited projects and applications for a single business
  4. Client Work: Use the Software to create applications for your clients (one licence must be purchased for each client, multiple projects can be built for each client)
  5. Team Use: Allow your team members and contractors to use the Software for projects covered by your licence

Restrictions

You are not permitted to:

  1. Resale: Re-sell, redistribute, or transfer the Software as-is or without significant modification
  2. Competing Products: Use any portion of the Software's code, architecture, or design to create:
    • A competing CMS starter kit or template
    • A similar product that would compete with Lucidity.js
    • A service that provides Lucidity.js-like functionality to third parties
    • Any product marketed as an alternative to Lucidity.js
  3. Licence Sharing: Share, transfer, or sub-licence your Lucidity.js licence to others
  4. Trademark Use: Use Hex Digital or Lucidity.js trademarks without explicit permission
  1. Lucidity.js: Hex Digital retains all intellectual property rights to the original Software
  2. Your Code: You own all rights to your modifications and additions to the Software
  3. Third-Party: The Software includes third-party open-source components licenced under their respective licences (see Package Licences below)

Package Licences

All third-party packages used in Lucidity.js are licenced under permissive open-source licences that allow commercial use. We have verified all dependencies using FOSSA to ensure licence compliance. See Enterprise Capabilities for more details on our licence compliance process.

Updates and Support

  1. Updates: Your licence includes access to updates and bug fixes released during your support period
  2. Support: Enterprise licences include priority support as specified in your agreement
  3. Compatibility: We maintain backward compatibility within major versions

Warranty and Liability

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL HEX DIGITAL BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

Termination

This licence is effective until terminated. Your rights under this licence will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies.

Governing Law

This licence shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
